Hand Grade Stretch Films — 16" & 18" Widths

The 18" width is the most common standard for full pallet hand wrapping, providing broad coverage per pass and faster wrap cycles. A 16" width offers a narrower profile suited to smaller loads or tighter wrapping patterns. Both widths are compatible with standard hand-held dispensers and extended-core rolls for ergonomic application.

Hand stretch film is commonly available in 47, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, and 115 gauge. The 80 gauge is the everyday warehouse standard, offering a balance of strength and stretch. Heavier gauges such as 90 to 115 gauge are recommended for sharp-cornered, heavy, or irregular loads that demand greater puncture and tear resistance.

Cast film unwinds quietly, maintains a more consistent gauge, and stretches more easily by hand, making it ideal for general warehouse use. Blown film offers superior puncture and tear resistance due to its manufacturing process, making it better suited for heavy, sharp-cornered, or difficult loads. Both types are available in standard 18" widths.

Yes. Bundling stretch film in narrower widths, typically 12 inches, is specifically designed for case bundling, unitizing smaller items, and wrapping irregular loads. It provides a tight, secure hold without the bulk of a full-width pallet wrap and is available for both hand and machine application depending on your volume requirements.

Colored stretch films are used for inventory color-coding, visual load identification, and security marking in distribution and warehouse environments. Available in colors such as red, blue, black, white, and yellow, they allow teams to quickly differentiate load types, shipment destinations, priority levels, or handling instructions without additional labeling during the wrapping process.

Standard hand stretch film rolls are typically 1,000 feet in length. Additional roll lengths available include 500 ft, 700 ft, 1,200 ft, and 1,500 ft, allowing operations to match roll size to wrapping volume and reduce changeover frequency. Extended-core rolls are also available for two-handed wrapping without a separate dispenser tool.
