Strap Protectors

Strap protectors, also called strap guards or strapping protectors, are placed between the strapping material and the surface of a package or pallet. They distribute strap tension evenly, preventing cut-through damage to boxes, corners, and product edges during shipping, warehousing, and transit on LTL and OTR freight.

Strap protectors are specifically designed to cushion the contact area where strapping meets a load, preventing cut-through. Edge protectors (V-board or corner posts) are angle-shaped boards applied to pallet or package corners to reinforce stack strength, prevent crush damage, and also protect against strap cut-through along edges.

Strap protectors and edge protectors are available in paperboard (recycled fiber, caliper-rated for light, medium, and heavy duty), closed-cell foam (ideal for fragile or high-value goods), and plastic (LLDPE). Each material suits different load weights, strap tensions, and surface sensitivity requirements.
